The Bombshell Chronicles

Yesterday I kept seeing all of this talk about the Cake (Remix) by Rihanna ft. Chris Brown. Finally got a chance to listen to it and it’s cool… I like it better than the original version to be honest. Then I realized Chris brown had Rihanna featured on his remix to Turn Up The Music. That was okay too (no big deal) but what I’m really concerned about is the image that’s being portrayed. It could all be a publicity stunt who knows or it could be the real deal…but those lyrics though…mmmm…ESPECIALLY Chris Brown’s.

No one should have to be put on a pedestal and be the “spokesperson” for a large group of individuals BUT with all that happened in the past with Rihanna & Chris Brown I think it’s just a lot to swallow at the moment. Kudos to her if she was able to forgive him but we all know when it comes to domestic violence they usually get back together a few times before it’s REALLY over. Rihanna is very much into that hardcore, sex, drugs and music image and maybe just maybe she loves a little pain with her pleasure (I’m just saying). 

I know her fans won’t be too happy and I also feel if they do get back together they won’t be very supportive IF it happens again. But what can you do? You can’t help who you love! Some say they’re the next Bobby Brown & Whitney Houston (RIP), I think that’s a little too extreme and especially too early to even “diagnose” that. When you’re a celebrity let alone an artist people really use how you live your life and your music as a blueprint for their own. I’m just worried for all the Rihanna fans that do that, they may feel it’s okay to be abused and forgive so easily because “he loves me.” I’m just worried about how they’re going to interpret all of this and apply it to their own lives which may be misinterpreted altogether.
